Metopius (Cultrarius) scitulus Cresson, 1879
Diagnosis and Relationships
Lower tooth of mandible entirely absent (see M. comptus page, Fig. 1). Interantennal process compressed, with median carina. Facial shield without a median longitudinal carina; ventral section of facial shield narrowly rounded and a little pointed ventrally. Occipital carina absent ventrally, below level of occipital foramen. Flagellum thick and blunt, the wider flagellomeres 2-3 times as wide as long. Tarsal claws of fore and mid legs with pectination complete, extending to apex of claw. Galea and glossa short and held within the oral cavity. Hind tibia mostly yellow, black on apical third.
