Diagnosis and Relationships

Description
The presence of large subapical nodes on the ovipositor and reduced setation on the ovipositor sheath are characteristic of this and other members of the Fopius desideratus species group.
Distribution
Described from Tanzania, but also occurs in Kenya.
Biology / Hosts
Published host record limited to Dacus humeralis (Bezzi), a pest of cucurbits (Wharton and Gilstrap 1983).
