Aclisis Foerster, 1862: 267. Type species: Aclisis isomera Foerster, 1862 (monobasic and original designation).

The type species, Aclisis isomera Foerster, is a junior subjective synonym of Opius caelatus Haliday, 1837 according to both Fischer (1972) and van Achterberg (2004).
Primary type of the type species is in Museum fuer Naturkunde der Humboldt-Universitaet, Berlin.

Aclisis and Xynobius have different nominal type species, but the same valid type species and Xynobius has long been given priority though both generic names appeared in the same publication.

Status as of 2015: Synonym of Opius subgenus Xynobius Fischer (1972); as genus Xynobius sensu van Achterberg 2004; or as Eurytenes sl (subgenus Xynobius) sensu Wharton (2006).

The type species of Aclisis has the wing venation slightly different from most specimens of caelatus that I have seen. In particular, the fore wing m-cu is more nearly interstitial rather than broadly antefurcal. There are other minor differences as well that might be useful in an investigation of morphological variation in these nominal species.
