Diagnosis and Relationships

Lower tooth of mandible entirely absent (see M. comptus page, Fig. 1). Interantennal process compressed, with median carina (Fig. 2). Facial shield with an indistinct median longitudinal carina. Occipital carina absent ventrally, below level of occipital foramen. Tarsal claws of fore and mid legs with pectination only on basal 0.3-0.7. Metapleuron with coarse, scattered punctures. Mesopleuron with subtegular ridge yellow and a yellow stripe along ventral margin (Fig. 1). Second metasomal tergite with posterior-lateral corners white to pale yellow.
