Metopius (Cultrarius) rileyi Marlatt, 1891
Diagnosis and Relationships
Lower tooth of mandible entirely absent (see M. comptus page, Fig. 1). Interantennal process compressed, with median carina (Fig. 4). Facial shield without a median longitudinal carina. Occipital carina absent ventrally, below level of occipital foramen. Tarsal claws of fore and mid legs with pectination only on basal 0.3-0.4. Galea and glossa long (Fig. 4). Epicnemial carina short, extending dorsally just above sternaulus. Posterior-lateral corner of scutellum distinctly produced, sharp. Second metasomal tergite black, with apical margin yellow.
