Scolobatini Schmiedeknecht, 1911

Introduction
The Scolobatini and Westwoodiini share several unusual features, such as the antennal tyloid, and Gauld (1984, 1997) treated Westwoodiini as a synonym of Scolobatini on the basis of these characteristics. Zhaurova and Wharton (2009) resurrected Westwoodiini and provided diagnostic features for both tribes. As treated here, the Scolobatini are defined (relative to Westwoodiini) largely on the basis of the loss of the fore wing areolet and the loss of at least the mid-dorsal portion of the occipital carina.
