The Westwoodia key is derived from a 2008 monograph of this genus by Wharton, Roeder, and Yoder published in Zootaxa 1855: 1-40. This work in turn is based on the studies of Kira Zhaurova (Contributions of the American Entomological Institute 35 (5).
